How much overhead is involved in operating the business?

TSS Franchisees operate their business from home. All you need is a dedicated phone line, high speed Internet and storage space.

Do I need photography or sales experience?

TSS offers training programs that address all phases of our business. It is not necessary to have photography or sales experience. Our owners come to us with a range of experience and backgrounds, therefore we offer in-field one-on-one training, as well as corporate classroom training. TSS is looking for owners that are self motivated, personable and ready to learn and follow a system – our training will take care of the rest.

What is a territory?

TSS offers protected territories that are exclusive to each owner. We will help you determine the territory size that achieves your desired level of success. TSS has expansion and growth plans designed to help you reach your goals both now and by expanding in the future.

Is TSS well known in the Industry?

The Sports Section™ Photography, also known as TSS, is the nation’s leader in youth and sports photography. With franchises throughout the U.S., we lead the industry in product offering and development. We are the approved photographer for several of the country’s largest and well-known organizations. We have photographed over 25 million people since TSS was founded in 1983.

Does TSS provide me with marketing materials?

You have access to an array of professionally designed materials created to help you sign and market leagues and schools. A state-of-the-art website, sales brochures, and presentation materials that include flyers, posters and sample products are just some of the marketing materials available to you.

Do I have to buy my own equipment, or is it included in the franchise fee?

The TSS Franchise is a turnkey investment and includes all photography and computer equipment. If you are an experienced photographer that already owns equipment your equipment investment may be reduced based on what you already own. What is the franchise investment?

TSS offers an opportunity for everyone ranging from small, part time territories to large multi-unit options and existing photographers looking to expand. Depending on your background, your goals and investment budget we are sure we can find the right option for you.

The initial franchise investment for a new photography business will typically range from $40,000 to $60,000*. Your investment will include training, a protected territory, access to the TSS turnkey system, photography equipment, computer equipment and your start up marketing kit. If you are an experienced photographer with over 2 years full time experience in running your business your fees can be reduced. Our expansion option for existing photographers gives potential owners the opportunity to get up to 60% off of their territory fee.

*This range includes the territory fee which is based on the size of the area in which you would like to operate your business.

What is the average ROI on my investment?

The average ROI on your investment in a TSS franchise is influenced by several factors, including the amount of time and effort you invest, your experience, your level of self-motivation and drive, and the size of your territory. Additionally, success in sales and relationship building is crucial for achieving a favorable return. While TSS cannot provide an earnings projection due to the unique circumstances of each individual, we do provide an ROI worksheet and a list of owners you can contact to better assess the potential.
